Opening an HSA online with E Federal Credit Union is quick and easy. If you have all of the necessary information, it only takes about 5 to 7 minutes to complete and verify your personal data, agree to the terms and conditions, and begin to fund the account.

To make this process easy, gather the following information before you start the application process. Complete and accurate information is necessary for a successful online account opening.

For security reasons, data entry inactivity lasting longer than 20 minutes will result in a time-out situation, and the data already entered will be lost.

• Have your Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number handy. For additional personal identification, have your driver's license or state issued ID available.
• If there will be an additional signer on the account, then that person should be present, or you will need to know his/her personal information, including Social Security Number.
• If you are eligible to join E Federal Credit Union through a family member, you will need his/her name and member number.
• You may fund your account in one of two ways:

  1. Mail a check or certified money order to E Federal Credit Union
  2. Electronic transfer from another financial institution*

  *If you choose electronic transfer, you will need the routing and account numbers for the financial institution that you are transferring funds from. Please keep in mind that it will take, on average, up to two business days for the transfer to complete.
  

• During this process, you will be asked a series of questions which will be used to authenticate your identity.
• To complete the application, you will be presented with disclosures. You are required to accept them to complete the application process. Your acceptance of these disclosures electronically constitutes your signature.

Minimum funding of $10 is required to activate your account. The account will be locked until that requirement is met. If the account is not funded within 30 days, it will be closed. Online applications cannot be used for business, trust, power of attorney, beneficiary, or individual retirement accounts.

Membership in E Federal Credit Union is open to:

1. Persons who live, work, worship or attend school in these nine Louisiana Parishes:
   • East Baton Rouge
   • West Baton Rouge
   • Ascension
   • East Feliciana
   • West Feliciana
   • Iberville
   • Livingston
   • Pointe Coupee
   • St. Helena
2. Immediate family or household members of a current E Federal Credit Union member including spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren and siblings.
