Are closing costs closing the door on your first home? Is the down payment holding you down from your dream of homeownership? If so, HELP is on the way!

The Homebuyers Equity Leverage Partnership (HELP) program provides matching grant funds for closing cost assistance for first-time homebuyers of modest means. Homebuyers can receive 4-to-1 matching funds up to $6,000 to use as a down payment or pay for closing costs for their first home.  

To qualify for HELP program assistance you must:

• Be a first-time homebuyer
• Have a family income of 80 percent or less of the median income of the area.
• Complete an approved first-time homebuyers counseling course
• Contribute at least $500 of your own funds toward the required down payment or closing costs.
• Agree to a five-year home retention agreement
